About the Role
The Social Media + Community Intern will support the growth and visibility of Jess Hopp Consulting by helping bring the brand’s voice, insights, and values to life across social platforms. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys content creation, understands how storytelling builds trust, and wants hands-on experience inside a consulting business.
You’ll work closely with Jess to translate ideas, frameworks, and lived experience into compelling social content that resonates with thoughtful, professional audiences.
What You’ll Do
Content Creation & Publishing
Assist in creating short-form content for Instagram and LinkedIn (Reels, carousels, static posts).
Draft captions that are clear, conversational, and insight-driven.
Repurpose long-form content (blogs, talks, podcasts, ideas) into social-friendly formats.
Support the planning and execution of a weekly or monthly content calendar.
Brand & Voice Support
Help maintain a consistent brand voice that feels warm, grounded, and professional.
Identify content opportunities aligned with current conversations in marketing, events, business growth, and personal branding.
Support storytelling around offers, partnerships, speaking, and thought leadership.
Engagement & Growth
Monitor comments and messages and flag opportunities for connection.
Research relevant hashtags, trends, and industry conversations.
Assist with engagement strategies to grow reach, build community and brand partnerships.
Insights & Optimization
Track basic performance metrics and engagement trends.
Share learnings and recommendations for improving content effectiveness.
Who You Are
Interested in marketing, branding, communications, consulting, or entrepreneurship.
Comfortable writing and editing short-form content.
Social-media savvy, especially on Instagram and LinkedIn.
Organized, proactive, and able to manage deadlines independently.
Thoughtful, curious, and aligned with values-driven work.
Bonus: experience with Canva, CapCut, Notion, or scheduling tools.
